So I have been in a bit of a blogging funk lately. I won't make excuses but will try to do better. As you can imagine, we get lots of comments/questions when people learn that we have four 7 month olds...yes they are already 7 months....almost 8! A popular one is "how do you do it?" or "I can't even imagine!" So I thought it would be fun to give you a little insight on just how it is that we do it. Before we get to that, I would like to thank all of our volunteers that have come in the past and are still coming to help us. Y'all are the best! It is such a blessing to have family and friends that are so eager and willing to help out. By far, the busiest time for us is the evenings. Our nightly routine begins around 5:45 or 6 with supper...spoon feed each baby, then we bathe each baby, then we give a bottle to each baby and then its down for the night...usually around 7 to 7:30. The babies are sleeping 11-12 hours every night...boy, are we counting our blessings! Three nights a week we have regular help from volunteers, Alicia, Cindy, Ms. Becky & Mr. Rusty. They really are troopers hanging in with us during the busy times! The other four nights are usually just the two of us, but occasionally we have the grandparents or other family stop in to help out. On real crazy nights, we might have to call in for reinforcement :) On the night of this video it was just me and Nick. Initially we did this so we could look back on it years from now, but then we thought we would share our nights with you...in a nutshell of course. The whole process took about an hour and 40 minutes. Don't worry, the video is only 3 minutes long and put to a little Kenny Loggins for your viewing pleasure! Enjoy!
Oh by the way, the babies aren't quite ready to feed at their quad table. They are still a little wobbly at sitting so we make a bigger mess than necessary. It won't be long though. Also, I don't usually dress the babies on the sofa, but did it this night just for the video.
This is our normal now. We don't even think twice about it. We love it!
Love,
Kami

Nick and Kami,

You guys are some ROCKIN' parents! Thanks for posting this. Also, can I just say how cute the dogs are running around with the sweet babies on the floor? :)

That was soooo cool! Even my daughter came in to watch!
I loved the babies wiggling and swinging to the music! So cute!
Hey Kami- I have to watch your video still, but just saw at the end of your post you said this is your normal. I just put that same thing on our post- how funny. Jason has always said that since his accident a few years ago- he's not the same, but has a "new normal!' So now we say that about our lives with 6 kiddos. Amazing. Now off to watch the video- then sleep. Kami
I love this video. It is amazing how organized you are.

Such a great idea, love the video.
haha, that was hilarious to watch. something about babies in swings on a hyper speed video is just funny. and having footloose playing in the video just made it even better.
What a great idea! My husband keeps saying we should document the hard stuff just so we can remember what it was like, but I kind of just want to block it all out, HA!
Hey! I have been watching your blog since before the babies were born. I am a mother to quadruplets born on February 23, 2009 at 29 weeks and 6 days. Our babies are very close! I loved your last post. It made me smile to see something so familiar. Your babies are precious. Please stop by our blog sometime. www.garrettquads.blogspot.com
