A Dedication Service

This past Sunday was a very special day for us, one we have waited a long time for. It was the church service where we publicly dedicated the babies to the Lord. It was about more than just getting them all dressed up (although I did have fun doing that!), but it was about us as parents committing to raise our children according to God's Word and His ways. What an awesome responsibility! We view it as such a privilege to even have one child to dedicate to Him much less four! Each and everyday I thank Him for our babies and how healthy, sweet and happy they are....truly amazing.

The day was kind of a whirlwind. I had a glimpse into the future of what it will actually be like to get all of us dressed, loaded up and where we need to be ON TIME! We did it and it turned out to be a great day. Jagger decided to make his presence known and pitched one during the ceremony. I guess one out of four ain't bad, right?!? What was even funnier, was that Nick switched babies right before we walked out...Sloan for Jagger. Sloan was crying behind the scenes but being the true princess she is quieted down when all eyes were on her...so she thought anyway! Special thanks to our friend Donald for taking pictures during the ceremony.

Making sure everyone will be fat and happy
Greeting Pastor Matt (notice Jagger's meltdown)

Nick - "Where's the exit!"

After the prayer the congregation applauded which made Jagger cheer right up!

Sloan and her friend Brinkley who also was dedicated on Sunday

After the service, we went to my parent's house and had dinner with family and friends. Our good friend and talented photographer, Chad Keith, came to take some pictures of us since we were all dressed. Thanks Chad!

The babies were getting a little hot and fussy here...but how cute do they look?
(L to R: Rocco, Jagger, Sloan & Madden)

GG on the side trying to make the babies look and smile at the camera...of course she didn't know that she would become the subject! It made us smile.

Love,

Kami

  1. Great shots and a great day. If they had all been quite you would have had no story to tell his wife, when he is older! Hee hee!

What was even funnier was when he quieted and then cried again after Pastor touched him.
