They're Keepers!

We went to the doctor this week for a weight check. Drumroll, please....

Coming in last, but certainly nothing to sneeze at, Madden weighed in at 9lbs 8ozs.
Our little man is not so little anymore, Jagger weighed in at 9lbs 9ozs.
Little Miss gave up her title, Sloan weighed in at 10lbs 6ozs.
And our new heavyweight, Big Rocco weighed a whopping 10lbs 11ozs!

We definitely have four really good eaters. I'm not looking forward to our grocery bill when they are 15! Currently, Madden is taking 4 ozs, Sloan and Jagger are taking 4-5 ozs and Big Man is taking 5 ozs every feed. They are still eating every four hours. Friday night was the longest they have gone between feeds...we fed them at 10 and the first baby woke up at 3:30...that's 5 1/2 hours! It won't be long now...I can just taste a full night's sleep! Speaking of, I want to thank my SIL Kemper and good friend Meredith for spending the night with us. I had my first full night's sleep this week and it was really good!

In other Lambe family news, we purchased my new minivan this week! We ended up going with the Honda Odyssey and I just love it! It's just what I've always dreamed of...a minivan loaded with kids...really!

The boys love to ride! (R,M and J)

I did almost have a little incident this week. I ran a quick errand while the babies were at my mom's. When I pulled back in to the garage, I couldn't tell exactly but I knew I was really close to hitting the side. I thought...let me just park here. Let me preface these pictures by saying, I am a good driver just a little out of practice AND there was another car in the driveway so I couldn't swing out as far as I normally would have.

VERY close to having one sad Momma and one mad Daddy!

Quad Mom Love

I had a great visit Friday from two of my favorite quad moms. Jac Tubre and Sandra Cochran popped in to lend a helping hand and meet the little lambes. Of course, I had to pick their brains and find out some tricks of the trade! I am so fortunate to have the support and ears of such amazing women. They actually stopped by on their way to the airport for the first annual quad mom trip! Sounds like they had such a good time and I can't wait til next year!

Babies are all doing well and growing big. We are getting smiles now. I do not have their current weights but suspect that they are all either over or right around 9 pounds! Madden is still on oxygen. He will not go back to the pulmonologist until June 30th, but home health comes every other week to test him off the oxygen. He has been getting better each time. I have lots of help from family, friends and volunteers from our church. Thanks to all of you that have given your time...you have all been a blessing to me!

Happy Mom's Day!

Over the last few years, this day has been the toughest day of the year for me. It is such a wonderful time to celebrate and honor our very deserving mothers, but the pain of not being a mom myself always surfaced. I felt as though I was a mom at heart just didn't have the children to officially be a "mother." On this day, I always wished the "real" moms a Happy Mother's Day meanwhile longing for the day when someone would say those words to me. So today I would like to give a BIG "Happy Mother's Day" to ALL of you ladies...whether you have held your children already or not. Stay positive and hopeful...greater things are still to come! I am especially wishing a Happy Mother's Day to GG and Grandmama...we love you both and thank you for all that you do for us!

On my first official Mother's Day, I wanted to write a short love letter to the children the Lord has blessed me with. I feel so undeserving to have not only one but FOUR beautiful babies today.

Sloan,
My little angel. Already I feel a deep bond with you that I know will last a lifetime. You are so beautiful and bring me so much joy. I am so excited about all the moments I know we will share together. I pray that you will grow to love the Lord and always make Him first in your life. I pray that you will always know and feel my love for you.

Rocco,
My handsome boy. Already you have stolen my heart. You are so strong and make me so proud. I can't wait to watch you grow and share in your life's experiences. I pray that you will grow to love the Lord and always make Him first in your life. I pray that you will always know and feel my love for you.

Madden,
My sweet little man. I am so grateful that God chose me to be your momma. You are so unbelievably loveable and make me smile everytime I look at your sweet little face. I am excited about your future and what God has in store for you. I pray that you will grow to love the Lord and always make Him first in your life. I pray that you will always know and feel my love for you.

Jagger,
My precious baby boy. You have blessed my life immensely. You are so awesome and I love you so much. I can't wait to spend everyday with you...to laugh with you, to sing with you, dance with you, and cry with you! I pray that you will grow to love the Lord and always make Him first in your life. I pray that you will always know and feel my love for you.

With all my heart I love you,
Momma

P.S. Just in case you missed it, here is the story WAFB Ch 9 News did on the four little Lambes. Enjoy!

Ooh La La!

The babies are all sleeping so I thought I would take a minute to show you a nice surprise I had when I came home. Once we decided to move to Phoenix, there was so much to be done at home in a short period of time. Well, decorating the baby nursery was not at the top of the list. Fortunately, I am blessed with a talented (and generous) sister-in-law, Kemper Rogers(krinteriors@cox.net), who took the time...alot of time...to decorate an absolute dream nursery for us! She did such a great job...I wouldn't change a thing! I also want to give a HUGE thanks to my family and friends that assisted Kemper with it...Ashley (Ashley Watson Interiors), Casey, Sissy, Jason and Uncle Durwin! Y'all are the best!

Hope you love it as much as I do! Thanks Kemper!

2 Month Well Visit

We made it home safe and sound! As you probably can tell by the lack of posts, we have been a little busy around here...feeding babies, changing babies, unpacking, etc. We are starting to get into a daily routine now. The babies are eating every four hours. We feed two and then the other two. The total feeding time with changes takes about 1 hour 1/2...so we have 2 1/2 hours until it starts all over again. Not too bad! The babies are really good. If they are a little fussy, its usually nothing a little snuggling can't fix.

During the pregnancy, we joke about everything being "times 4." I had my first taste of it when we took the babies to their 2 month well visit last week...4 new patient forms to fill out, 4 copays, and 4 sets of shots and consent forms! I am proud to say that all the babies are healthy and over 7lbs!
Sloan - 7lbs 2 ozs, 19 1/4"
Rocco - 7lbs 0 ozs ,19 3/4"
Madden - 7lbs 2 ozs, 19"
Jagger - 7lbs 1 0z, 18 1/2"

Madden is still on the oxygen but still has not had any apnea episodes. He is scheduled to go to the pulmonologist next Thursday. I am praying he will not need the oxygen anymore. Poor little dude, he hates having the canula in and is constantly tugging at it. So many times I find him looking like this...

Our dogs, Lucy and Buddy, are loving their new brothers and sister. It's really cute how Lucy has turned into a little momma. Here are more pictures as promised.

At Last!

We will all be under the same roof tonight and forever! It feels so good to have my family together. Madden came home on Wednesday night and we took Rocco and Jagger home today. Madden still requires oxygen so he is hooked up to a portable tank and an apnea monitor. The alarm has not gone off since we have been home. The last few days have been a bit hectic with travel arrangements and such. But it is definite...we will be flying home on Tuesday! Home. I can't believe the time has finally come. After five months, I get to go home with my family...four healthy babies. The Lord is so good. As I sit here typing this, I am staring at 4 sleeping miracles. To think back to where we started and where we are now...well, I cry joyful tears every time. It's indescribable.

Please pray for us as we travel. Grandmama and Grandaddy will be flying here on Monday so they can help with the babies on the way back. We will have six adults (me and nick and the grandparents) for the four babies. Because of the airline restrictions with the oxygen, my parents will be flying on a different airline with Madden, but we will all be arriving home around the same time late Tuesday night.

We have loved our time here in Arizona. We have grown to love all the people that have been a part of our lives over the last 5 months. We will miss everyone terribly...but I will save our goodbye's for a later post!

Pictures will be coming...I promise!

Kami

Sloan's Home!

She's actually been home since Monday night, but we have been a little busy to squeeze in a post! We have had two wonderful nights and days with her. She really has been so good...she is spoiling us! Today she had her first outing...to the audiologist for her follow up hearing test. She passed in both ears! Her first appointment with the pediatrician will be on Friday.

It's so awesome to have a baby home...or half-way home, at least! I used to dream of the day when I could just watch my baby sleep, comfort her when she cries, feed her when she is hungry, and yes, even change dirty diapers. Believe me, I am enjoying every single minute of this. I am ready to have my whole family home but know that it will come in His time!

Goin' home!

First bath at home

Her first road trip

Jagger was scheduled to be home today, but when we got to the hospital last night he was back on the oxygen again. Danielle, our nurse, said his stats were just not where they need to be so they put him back on. He just needs a little boost for a few days...hopefully, it won't be long before he can come home!

One down, three more to go!

Love,

Kami
