A Dedication Service

This past Sunday was a very special day for us, one we have waited a long time for. It was the church service where we publicly dedicated the babies to the Lord. It was about more than just getting them all dressed up (although I did have fun doing that!), but it was about us as parents committing to raise our children according to God's Word and His ways. What an awesome responsibility! We view it as such a privilege to even have one child to dedicate to Him much less four! Each and everyday I thank Him for our babies and how healthy, sweet and happy they are....truly amazing.

The day was kind of a whirlwind. I had a glimpse into the future of what it will actually be like to get all of us dressed, loaded up and where we need to be ON TIME! We did it and it turned out to be a great day. Jagger decided to make his presence known and pitched one during the ceremony. I guess one out of four ain't bad, right?!? What was even funnier, was that Nick switched babies right before we walked out...Sloan for Jagger. Sloan was crying behind the scenes but being the true princess she is quieted down when all eyes were on her...so she thought anyway! Special thanks to our friend Donald for taking pictures during the ceremony.

Making sure everyone will be fat and happy
Greeting Pastor Matt (notice Jagger's meltdown)

Nick - "Where's the exit!"

After the prayer the congregation applauded which made Jagger cheer right up!

After the service, we went to my parent's house and had dinner with family and friends. Our good friend and talented photographer, Chad Keith, came to take some pictures of us since we were all dressed. Thanks Chad!

The babies were getting a little hot and fussy here...but how cute do they look?

GG on the side trying to make the babies look and smile at the camera...of course she didn't know that she would become the subject! It made us smile.

No O2 4 U!

That is the call I got today for our sweet little Madden! We had to wait a bit longer than expected, but everything came back normal and the dr. said he could come off completely. We are so pumped!

So...what do you think of my new look?

It's only another Day!?!

Well as most of you know, I took Madden for his sleep study yesterday. He did fine...at least I think he did. When we were finished, the nurse told me that he "couldn't tell me anything until the doctor read the report." He did however give me a little wink and mouthed that he did well. I called this morning to find out about it but the doctor is out of the office today. Uggghhh! I know in the big scheme of things it's not that big of a deal but I was just really excited for Madden to not have that nasty canula taped to his face anymore. We should know something tomorrow. So we wait....

Thanks for your prayers,

We're 5 Months Old!

I can't believe it...5 months already! Since I have been such a pitiful excuse of a blogger lately, I promise to post lots of pics. Oh yeah...and thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a great day shopping and then spending time with my precious angels. The best birthday EVER!

Okay, so where to begin...first we had Aunt Lynn and cousin Seth (Nick's sister and our nephew) come visit last month. I believe it was love at first sight...for both Aunt Lynn and the babies! We had such a good visit with them and are looking forward to another visit in August. Then, we had the pleasure of our AC going out for a few days in this miserable 100 degree weather. Of course we relocated to GG and Big Pop's house until it was fixed. We also had our 4 month well visit. Dr. said babies are doing great and growing nicely. You be the judge (these weights are from a few weeks ago):

Madden - 11lbs 12ozs
Jagger - 11lbs 13ozs
Sloan - 12lbs 3ozs
Rocco - 13lbs 3ozs

She also said that it was time to start feeding these babies! How exciting...uh, messy too! Little did I know what we were really in for. They have gotten much better than when we first started. They started with rice cereal for a couple of weeks then we introduced some veggies this past week. I am having fun making their food...it really saves lots of money as you can imagine buying baby food for four!

Jagger's not amused

Madden went to the pulmonologist a couple weeks ago. He is doing great each time they test him off the oxygen, but we still can't get rid of it completely until he has done a sleep study. The dr. just wants to be certain he will still do okay in a deep sleep. We are able to take him off the oxygen for a couple of hours each day. Our sleep study is scheduled for July 21st in New Orleans. Also, Jagger had his appointment with the eye doctor for his hemangioma in his eye (you can see it in his right eye in the picture above.) Good news is that his vision is equally good in both eyes and that the hemangioma is not affecting his vision. It should go away on its own but it may take several years. The dr. said it will be the brightest and biggest during the ages of 3-6 months then should start to lighten and get smaller...eventually go away.

We had a great Fourth of July...spending the day at my parents house with the entire fam. The babies even went for a dip in their new pool.
